Prerequisites Before Approval of a Master Recipe in MES

 Greetings of the day...!

We are much familiar with the creation of master recipe and its approval process.Any how here some of the points that i want to discuss prerequisites which are given below:

1.Verify the materials availability.

2.Building block wise creation.

3.Tolerances of materials must be in range with the installed weighing balance capacities in shop floor.

4.Equipment and its properties creation in Data manager client.

5.Created MBR or Recipe must be inline with Bill of materials(BOM)

6.Created recipe must be inline with the manual batch record.

7.Recipe simulation by the production users so that we can easily modify the changes according to their requirement.

8.Recipe review by QA team.

9.Export recipe from quality to production environment once comments updated given from CFT departments.

10.Give trigger from SAP to link the BOM to created recipe, after BOM final approval.

11.Then go for QA approval.

Downloading of materials from SAP to FTPS

As we know that the communication between ERP and MES is message based service. We can download materials from ERP to MES by using various transaction codes in SAP.

Few of them are below which are from ERP SAP.

T code - BD10(sends material from SAP to PMC client)

T code - WE02(Used to know the IDOC number)

T code - BD87 (we can process our request through IDOC number forcefully)

All the downloaded materials available in PMC as well as in Recipe designing clients.

Naming to a Recipe in FTPS

Creation of master recipe is starts by selecting required material from universe which creates a  dummy procedure and there we need to give identifier to the procedure in such a way that it should be satisfy below criteria:

Material code>Production Version>Plant Code>Revision Version

And building of a recipe is done at phase level,we can change the phases parameters and risk level as per our requirement to meet regulatory compliance.

Approval Chain

Once you have done your creation of MBR then we can circulate it for further approval and the following are transitions where created recipe undergo:

1.Verification (which is having only to the usergroup Recipe designer)

2.Production Reviewed (Access to Production supervisor or In charge role from production end)

3.Valid nothing but Approval (Access to QA user group)

Hope this info is useful and let me know your corrections & comments if any.
