Public Speaking

 Greetings of the day....!

I want to discuss in detail  about public speaking because Iam lack in that.So here is information on public speaking from my findings.

Did you know ?72 % of people all over the world have a fear of public speaking?Well, which is  unavoidable,but with practice and rehearsal you turn stage fear into a positive fear.

There are people who become very nervous when they are asked anything in front of an audience.Surprisingly,they can talk for hours with friends,with small groups,but are afraid of doing the same on the dais,in front of a large audience.

It is a fact that nobody is a born speaker, not even the famous orator of the world.In India,usually the parents discourage their children to talk before elders.Most of such children find it difficult to speak in public.They hesitate to take part even in the school elocution and debate competition and this continues even they reach adulthood.

We will search the factors that cause fear of public speaking and also solutions to overcome the fear and these factors always live in our subconscious mind that lead to nervousness.

1.I have never talked on the stage before.

2.I cannot impress the audience like other speakers.

3.People may laugh at my language and style.

4.I may forget my speech.

5.There may be some critics from the audience.

6.When i look at the audience,my body shivers.

7.My mind become blank.

8.When somebody asks a question,I may not be able to answer.

Then how to overcome all these fears?

The imaginary fear is more dangerous compare to the real experience.We can resist these fears with positive thinking and confidence.

Do your Homework: When you more understand the subject,there is a more chance for your effective presentation.Search more on the content and be prepare yourself for answering the questions from the public like a soldier waiting for rivals.

Focus on the subject,not on the result:The audience are primarily attend the session to know information but not to notice your mistakes.It is only our illusion and they comes to listen you and not to heckle you.

Looking info on piece of paper: There is nothing wrong to carry a notes along with you,but don't read it completely instead you can look up and convey the information in between.They may appreciate for your sincerity towards giving correct information to them.

Organise yourself: You should be like a professional,your attire,language,tone modulation and punctuality comes to the picture.The more organised you are,the less nervous you'll be.

Rehearse: Practice your speech and body language in front of the mirror at home until you will get confidence.Once you are satisfied with your performance,present it before your friends and family and ask feedback from them and try to modify yourself accordingly.

Be Confident: If you do not feel confident,pretend that you are confident by follow a say "fake it,fake it until you make it".

Practice relaxation techniques: To overcome fear,breathing exercise,pranayama and meditation are good techniques which improves your inner strength and make you as confident person.
