PHARMACODYNAMICS

Pharmacodynamics is the study of how drug interact with the body, including drug action mechanism, therapeutic effects, and potential side effects.

It is connected with the interactions between a drug's dose and its effect on the body as well as the interactions between concentration and the intensity and duration of the pharmacological response.

It involves the study of drug-receptor interactions, which are the molecular mechanisms by which drugs exert their effects on cells and tissues.

These interactions can be agonistic( a drug activates to produce a response) and antagonist (a drug blocks the receptor to prevent a response)

By understanding of dynamics, Healthcare professionals can determine the appropriate doses, routes of administration, and duration of treatment to achieve optimal  therapeutic outcomes while minimizing the adverse effects.
