The Chetak Scooter

 Once upon a time, there was a popular scooter named Chetak. It is a well known brand of scooters in India.  Many people enjoyed riding it and it was loved by most of the people for its simple design and affordable price. It was used by families for daily commutes, and it became a part in their daily life.  However despite of its initial success, the chetak faced a challenges in the business world.


As the time went on, new and updated scooters started to appear in the market with modern features like automatic transmission and good designs, people started to show more interest in these newer options which leads to chetak to loose its shine in the market.

The first drawback of chetak scooter was that it didn't update with the changing times and the second thing was concern about the pollution because it is relied on gasoline engine due to this young riders who were looking for something fresh and exciting, avoided chetak scooters. Unfortunately, the chetak scooter couldn't face these challenges. Its sales started to decline. Eventually company had to stop making scooters.

The iconic chetak brand, originally manufactured by the Bajaj auto was discontinued for a while.  In recent years Bajaj auto reintroduced the chetak brand as an electric scooter. This is a part of Bajaj's effort to give sustainable and eco-friendly product. This reinvention of the chetak brand showcases a shift towards modern technology and aligns with the demand for electric scooters in today's market.



Lesson Learnt:

The story of the chetak scooter teaches us that in this business world, its important to adapt and change with the time. Sticking to the old ways will not work all the time because people preferences and concerns can influence the success of a business. Chetak scooter story serves as a lesson for business to stay updated.
